DO YOU CONSIDER PEOPLE LIKE FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS "THINGS"?

as i am surfing the net, i accidentally passed by through a website called
Squawkfox,. i read one of the blogs which i thought i could learn something.

the blog's topic was What 3 Things are You Most Thankful for?

the blogger himself wrotes:

Three Things I am Thankful For:

Friends & Family. The Beatles were right! I do get by with a little help from

my friends, better half and family. Love you guys!

 My Own Voice.  Blah...blah.. blah...blah...blah...blah.....

 Walking. Blah..blah...blah...blah...blah...

and so as the people who responded to his blog mentioned their friends, family,

their new born ones and better halfs as one of 3 "THINGS" they are thankful for.

as far as i know, people like family and friends cannot
be considered as "THINGS".
as we all know THINGS do not have life but PEOPLE do.

will you be happy if you, yourself be considered as a THING????

that's what i wrote in the comment section...hahahaha

anybody can write a comment on that site as long as you write your name and

e-mail (required).

here's a question for everybody:

DO YOU CONSIDER PEOPLE LIKE FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS "THINGS"?

aw...by the way, i said up there..blah...blah...blah just to make this blog short

it was not the actual words written in the said blog. hahahahahaha...LOL!

just a joke peeps..hehehe..am sending everyone who read this blog a

100 WATT SMILE  (^_~) .

THEY'VE NAILED IT

They've Nailed It

Nails grow at an average rate of 0.1mm a day (1 cm every 100 days) Fingernails require 4 to 6 months to regrow completely. Toenails require 12 to 18 months. Actual growth rate is dependent upon age, season, exercise level, and hereditary factors.

So how long do you think these people have grown their nails. How many bottles of nail polish do they consume every week?

RANDOM REFERRALS

As most of you have already found out that you can not really earn that much on Yuwie if you are alone without an army of referrals, Yuwie have decided to offer random referrals to those who remain active, that is by being online at Yuwie.

Here is the message from Y Guy:

Random Referrals

Some of you have expressed concern over the fact that new users can sign up unreferred. Well, not anymore. Effective immediately, any new user that signs up unreferred will automatically be assigned to an existing member. What determines who gets this new member? There are 3 qualifications that have to be meet before we pick an account to assign the new member to:

1. You have to have been a member for more than 30 days.
2. You have to have been online in the last hour.
3. You can only receive 1 random referral per day.

The system will randomly pull a userID from all accounts that meet these 3 requirements and assign the new member to your level 1.

Things you need to know:

1. All assignments are random, you may never get a random referral.
2. These assigned members may be studs or duds. They may refer 100s of people, or they may delete their account in 10 minutes. Either way, we will not assign you a different referral.
3. You will receive a message when you receive one of these random referrals.
4. The more you're online, the better your chances are to get a random referral.

I think that this is quite nice but when I read one of the conditions that says you have to be online at the last hours, that really put me off since that is not fair to the users that are from a different time zones.

For example, if the last hour of the day for Yuwie is actually a night time at some of the other members' time zone, then definitely those members would never be online at the last hours and can never be eligible for the random referral assignment.

I FOUND THIS FROM myLot.com SITE WHERE I WAS A MEMBER..... this will be a very good thing...i just hope that the system should cater for all members without
discrimination.

RELATIONSHIP ALERT: THE INVISIBLE PAIN
If you have no visible scars and yet you feel pain, you might be in danger of being emotionally abused.
what makes emotional abuse hard to pinpoint is the fact that we often justify and suppress our emotions, especially in dysfunctional relationships.
Victims may not even realize they are already being abused; in fact, they may even perceive abusive actions as normal behaviour.
"Emotional abuse is an attempt to influence, manipulate and control someone." when your partner has excessive demands, punishes you for your normal behaviour( punish here is not a physical but words that will hurt you) , discourages your expressions of attachment( love or self respect) and with-holds affections or care, he/she is emotionally abusing you. Instead of a healthy amount of self-assertion, an abusive person resorts to aggression to meet his needs.

This happenned to me. in my case....he is good-looking, loyal, and he loves me. He captivates everyone, the same way he won me over. In the eyes of man, we're the couple to beat yet somehow I don't feel quite perfect. This was how i felt. to everyone else, my ex was a prince charming personified. But beneath his perfect smile and gentlemanly gestures lies something else: A tendency to make unreasonable demands and threats. " he always asks me to tell him what i was doing and where i was going. I felt i had to report every little thing, and if i didn't , he'd get extremely upset." He constantly made me feel that i was not enough.

I believe love should not hurt.
we are familiar with physical or verbal abuse. "Emotional abuse is harder to detect though it can be just as detrimental-- if not more so. Physical abuse entails actual contact such as hitting or even rape. it is more obvious kind of aggression, which often leaves visible marks. verbal abuse makes use of peircing words including harsh criticism, blatant insults and sarcasm to wound others. most of the time, there are elements of emotional blackmail in physical and verbal abuse.
emotions are vital part of our being- it bridges the mind, body and spirit and is key to anykind of recovery. Thus, there is no such thing as "just" being emotionally abused...in fact, this form is underneath all the other forms--may it be verbal or physical. the most painful aspect of being physically, verbally or sexually taken advantage of is the factthat someone you love and trust has hurt your feelings. It is traumatic, to say the least.

SAFE FROM THE MONEY MACHINE

Automated teller machines (ATM) can be magnets for crime. Take tis precautionary measures when stopping for cash.

1) CHOOSE A SAFE LOCATION-choose an ATM in a public, well-lit area.ATM machines located near or in open business establishments may be safer than those located in areas with low human traffic or hidden from public view.

2) LOCK THE DOORS-when using ATMs enclosed in a room, lock the door to prevent anyone from entering while you're in mid-transaction. Otherwise, make sure a security guard is present.

3) BRING SOMEONE ALONG- avoid making withdrawal at night. If u really need to make nighttime withdrawal, bring a friend or a relative to accompany u.

4)KEEP TO YOURSELF- never entertain offers of help from strangers, if ur having a trouble w/ the ATM, cancel the transaction and go inside the bank to look for someone who can help you. Shield the keypads with ur hands or body to prevent other people from seeing the numbers u'll key in.

5) STASH UR CASH IMMEDIATELY- never count ur money at the ATM. Move to a safe place where u can count ur cash discreetly and out of sight from other people. If the machine doesn't dispense the right amount , keep the receipt and call the bank. Don't make a scene and badger other people in line.

6) NOTE DOWN IMPORTANT NUMBERS- banks post their hotlines at the ATM sites, write them down and check if they have 24-hour hotline. Call them immediately if ur ATM card gets stuck or stolen.
