Where would you go?

I've been interested in photojournalism for quite some time, and now I've recently gained the opportunity to travel to some amazing places!

This summer, I'll be visiting Louisiana, Florida, and the Carribean, to photograph the 'general wildlife'. In August, I'll be traveling with a church mission trip to southern Mexico to document some of the poverty and raise awareness of suffering in some rural parts of Mexico. In the spring of 2009, I will be traveling to Italy and possibly France (maybe even Greece!) for photographing architecture, and in the summer of 2009, California (purpose unkown as of yet) and Mexico again.

So my question is: Anyone here involved in photojournalism? Any tips to offer? Or, has anyone been to one of the above-mentioned places? Please share your experiences, I'd love to hear about them! =D
