FAITH (fÄth), belief; trust; confidence; spiritual awareness of divine truth beyond the reach of empirical experience or logical proof.
If our faith is strong in the abilities of our children, we should be patient with them whose faith is weak. We should try to please them instead of ourselves. We should think of their good and try to help them by doing what keeps them healthy.
We who are strong have to be a support to the feeble, and not give pleasure to ourselves. Let every one of us give pleasure to his neighbor for his good to edification. (Romans 15:1-2)
When we edify, we instruct or improve morally or spiritually. We make that person strong or healthy, building them up.
They will be encouraged and made to feel better. We, as ambassadors of grace, receive the pleasure of helping those in need of simple gratitudes. We adhere to the call of duty for all things righteous in accordance with the Holy Bible.
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29)
When I thought about my questions, I was introduced to a prophet named Habakkuk. He had the same concerns as I do, in this day and age. (read Habakkuk 1:1-4) I was amazed!
Then I continued to read what God had answered, âBehold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.â Habakkuk 1:5
My questions became complaints rather than praise. Nevertheless, my questions are concerns for my placement of growth in my faith. I found the answer to my concerns in Habakkuk 2:4 which reads, âBehold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright: but the just shall live by his faith.â
Now, for those without faith in Jesus, woe is to them. (read Habakkuk 2:5, 6, 9, 12, 15, 19) Why are they doomed? Thatâs a no-brainer! Anyways, âFor the earth shall be with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.â Habakkuk 2:14 ââŠHis glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.â Habakkuk 3:3
âWhen I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in my self, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.â Habakkuk 3:16
âAlthough the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yeild no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:â Habakkuk 3:17
This guy had nothing from this land that was barren of most things that he would reap. But wait, listen to what Habakkuk says next.
âYet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hindsâ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.â Habakkuk 3:18-19
