I'm curious how many of you have at least a 'send a message' level relationship with your immediate sponsor or even one of your referrals? I'm talking about being close enough you feel comfortable about asking (or sharing) help or advice on marketing yourself online.

I work hard at making this happen, but it would surprise you how few there are. I try to keep a high profile so they'll contact me if they need anything, but I actually had a dialog with one the other day and she told me the reason she never asked before, was I intimidated her???

Now let me get this straight, she felt like she couldn't ask me questions because I knew so much more about marketing than she did. Would you rather ask someone who didn't know as much as you did?

Oh I get plenty of messages asking if I have any tips on getting referrals or page views. I usually just send those back to read this Blog and the Archives, it's all in there. But there are very few who are wiling to expose themselves enough to get the specific answers they desperately need.

Let me assure you, if you do ask for help I an NOT going to ridicule you. Most likely it's a question I asked someone else myself a few years ago. What I do ask is that you at least scan this Blog first and them be specific about what you want to learn about. Something as general as How do I get more referrals is way too broad.

You may even think with thousands of friends, I'll always be too busy. That's the nature of the Internet and one of the huge myths commonly believed by many. It's simply not true in most cases.
