| This is one of my very favorite cookie recipes that my family ask for alot.
So write this one down to bake for your family and friends.
SUGAR COOKIES
2/3 cup of shortening
1/3 cup of sugar
11/2 teaspoon vaniila flavoring
1 egg well beaten
3 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup of milk
Cream shortening and sugar, add vanilla flavoring,well beaten egg,then the flour,baking powder and salt sifted together, then keep adding the milk so that you have a firm dough that you can roll and cut into any desired shapes. Bake in a moderate oven (350% -375%) For about 10 -12 minutes.
sprinkle with powderd sugar or those colorful sugars. This recipes makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
These cookies are good for a afternoon snake for your kids or take them on a picnic. Your family and fiends will love you for them. ( ENJOY)
